A professor is giving a lecture on time management. There is an empty bucket in front of him. He pours pebbles into it up to the edge. Then he asks his students if the bucket is full. They nod. The professor wrinkles his nose and shakes his head. He takes a second bag with small stones, pours it into the bucket as well, shakes it a little until everyone is sunk. “Is the bucket full now?” He asks his students. They are a little insecure, but they answer the question in the affirmative. The professor shakes his head again and pours another bag of sand into the bucket. The professor takes two bottles of beer, opens them and dumps them into the container. The beer seeps away. "Now - the bucket is full," says the professor.
Then he takes an art break and asks the students:

The scientist smiles, pushes the bucket aside and tells a parable:
"You learned something about your life today:
- The Pebbles, these are the big chunks, the most important things in your life - family, friends, health. They take up most of the weight, most of the space in your life.
- The small stones, this is your training, your future job. He can fill you in. But it doesn't fill your life.

The students look thoughtful. Then someone asks: “But what about the beer?” The lecturer smiles:
